This is the birthplace and family home of the poet Tomás Morales (Moya 1884 – Las Palmas de Gran Canaria 1921), a mid-19th-century house and one of the most representative examples of traditional architecture in the old town of Moya.

The Cabildo bought it from the poet's heirs in 1966 and opened it as a museum in 1976. It keeps his archive, acquired in 1975.
