The Cenobio de Valerón is an aboriginal communal granary with more than 350 cavities carved into a volcanic cone, on several levels, to store cereals and other food.
Its name comes from an old belief, now discarded, that young women once lived there in seclusion. The visit takes you around the site with panels and scale models that explain how it was used.
