The Museo Elder opened in December 1999 in the former building of the British shipping company Elder Dempster Lines, in Parque Santa Catalina. It is run by the Government of the Canary Islands and its motto is “not touching is forbidden”.

Its four floors bring together interactive exhibits on physics, biology, mathematics and technology. From Parque Santa Catalina you can walk there; if you're coming from another part of the city, I'll drive you to the door.
