What to expect in Artenara
Cave homes line the hillside, and the hermitage of the Virgen de la Cuevita is set inside the rock itself. It is a striking example of how people have lived in the island’s mountains for centuries.
From the viewpoint by the hermitage you see Roque Nublo up close and, on clear days, Mount Teide on Tenerife on the horizon. It is one of the finest views on Gran Canaria.
